New Irreptiles

The shape is 8 units wide and 8*sqrt(2) units high.


Description
An irreptile is a shape T which tiles itself, the tiles being allowed to vary in size.
In other words, T can be tiles by smaller similar copies of itself.
If n smaller copies of T tile T, we say that T is irrep-n.

Background and history:
Irreptiles have been introiduced by the author in his seminal work "A Puzzling Journey To The Reptiles And Related Animals", 1986, privately published.
Since then several people have published further material an this subject, such as Michael Reif and Adolpho Kurchan.
The irreptiles presented here, despite being of low order, are new and have never been published before.
